Book on the BRI published by Dr. Lambert GIGS Academic Director

GEOPOLITICS OF CHINA’S NEW SILK ROAD
RETURN OF GEOGRAPHY AND RESET OF THE HISTORICAL CLOCK

The book introduces China’s New Silk Road launched in 2013. More officially referred to by the new Chinese leadership as Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the book evaluates some of its key geopolitical aspects and while focusing on Eurasia. It takes into account the emerging global power rivalry between China and the USA, as well as the strategic implications of the Covid–19 global pandemic for the delivery of the BRI. It shows that the BRI has induced a process of global transition from a world shaped from within the Atlantic towards a new, Sino–Asian world order.
